Holbeck and the Special School

This is the story of a boy who has had many chances to change his evil ways. But instead, his headmaster has given his mother an ultimatum.

The boy becomes a student at the Holbeck special school, or he will find himself in court and end up in borstal.

Mrs. Young doesn't want her son to end up a criminal, and she knows that that would happen if he ended up in borstal.

Mrs. Young accepts Mr. Andrews offer and secures a place at the special school.

Alan and his mother arrive at the village to find out that everyone knows who they are.

Alan receives several shocks when he starts school. He knows he is to have a medical on his first day, but that is so humiliating in front of a female doctor that he finds himself naked and examined by two pretty young nurses.

Then to his utter shock, Alan is forced to wear a girl's school uniform, including a gymslip; then, he is given the name Ann and must never be referred to as he or him, even by his mother in private.

Punishment is humiliating and harsh, and the boy wants to escape. But can he and his mother make a break to freedom?
