Brendan and Randy have built their lives around Hoggy & The Squeal, a comedy podcast with twelve subscribers. Brendan is convinced the show will make them rich and famous. Randy wants something simpler: a place to talk to his best friend and say the things he doesn't know how to say anywhere else.
Then Brendan finds Cal Chipkiss on the podcast charts, the same radio coworker he once tried to convince that podcasting was the future. Now Cal has the career Brendan was certain would be his. Brendan spirals, convinced Cal didn't just steal his idea. He stole his life. Brendan decides to take it back.
Brendan's attempt at revenge gets both men arrested. The whole thing is caught on camera. Then the footage is leaked online, and the podcast nobody listened to becomes impossible to ignore.
Suddenly there are managers, sponsors, money, bigger shows, and more attention than Brendan and Randy know what to do with. Hoggy & The Squeal becomes everything Brendan always insisted it could be, and then keeps getting bigger. Two lifelong underdogs who could barely get anyone to listen are finally getting their shot. Now they have to find out whether the friendship that made the show worth doing can survive everything that comes with making it.
