A sociological investigation into the development of hockey

The authors offer many interesting insights into the development of Canadia's beloved game. However, there is a lack of first hand data on issues such as hockey violence where ethnographic reseach is highly needed. All in all, a good read as there is no other sociological investigation of hockey out there.
