I felt the challenges of a field research, which requires great availability since, when going to the field, the researcher proposes to "affect and be affected" by this experience. The working conditions at the hospital were challenging, starting with the use of the coat and mask, which, at first, could make any care difficult in an environment of pure Amazonian heat. In this research, "body to body" was certainly an intense experience. In contemporary times, the analyst is increasingly confronted with clinical questions that force him to think what to do when faced with subjectivity issues that have never been formulated before, such as the fact that forty years ago, no psychoanalyst came across a person with AIDS. For those who have listening as a work tool and keep resisting, as psychoanalysis has taught us since the twentieth century, crossing wars, Nazism, economic crises, several social transformations and now with online analysis, they know that desire moves us to follow and psychoanalytical ethics calls us not to retreat, even in difficult times.
