During a Streetscapes tour of downtown Newnan, Gina Snider, Public Information Officer of the City of Newnan, suggested that the Carnegie Library feature programs on the history of Newnan and Coweta County. I began my series, "History With Elizabeth at the Carnegie" on November 11, 2009.The subjects of the programs covered a wide range of interests and suggestions. They were presented on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00am and continued through December 12, 2016. A total of 86 programs were scheduled, with only one having to be cancelled because of snow.People insisted that I share the information contained in the programs by publishing them. I selected 41 programs for this book with 8 sections. ENJOY!! They contain a lot of history of the county, and I enjoyed doing them.
