The study area is the entire Western Niassa Front where the two strategic bases are located in the context of the National Liberation Struggle.Primary sources were used - interviews with the target population (former combatants of the National Liberation Struggle who worked on the Niassa Front who now live in the same municipality and others in the City of Lichinga, elders who participated in the construction of the base and others) as integrated informants during field data collection.
