Best history book I've read.

History Hunt at Cold Harbor is a wonderful book! The story is well written with lots of parts that make the reader roll out of their seat with laughter. The three characters are very real and their Civil War counterparts come across as very real, almost tangible. If you think history is boring, THEN READ THIS BOOK! This book quite literally changed my life. Before reading this book in elementary school. I didn't really like history. But now I simply love it. This book sparked an undying passion and love for Civil War history. Because of this book and what it did for me, I am now a history major on my way to a career with the National Park Service. If you're looking for a book for a youngster interested in history or even someone who doesn't like history, then this is the book for them. It may even change their mind about history! If your child enjoys the American Girl, Dear America series, then they will love this book. This book proves that history is not something that sleeps on dusty museum shelves and in musty libraries...that it is in fact, a fun, rewarding and exciting adventure that comes alive.
