The Caucasus region is located on the Eurasian border between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea, bordering Russia to the north and Turkey and Iran to the south. This place is divided into north and south by the Great Caucasus Mountains. The northern Inner Caucasus belongs to Russia and its subordinate autonomous republics. Chechnya, which will intervene in the 2022 Ukrainian-Russian War, is located here. In the south is Georgia, the hometown of Stalin, and the three countries of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which are constantly at war, generally known as Transcaucasia. The Ukrainian-Russian War broke out in 2022, and the northern route of the Eurasian Corridor of China's Belt and Road Initiative was blocked, which made Transcaucasia more important as a policy partner.
