Sasha, a young college graduate, is unable to find a job in a predominantly white corporate market. She coerces her mother into letting her go to Johannesburg to seek employment. In her new job she proves herself a fast learner, intelligent and ambitious. Promotion however evades her, and family financial setbacks force her to look for alternative solutions. She answers an advert for a waitressing position, a set-up through which she is lured into the trafficking industry.
