His Commission

By Mary Bennett

Living in a very complex world Christian women need to be prepared to face the challenges and opportunities that lie before them. This requires more than a casual knowledge of Christ and the Bible. It requires spiritual habits and the ability to apply God's Word to everyday life. This series uniquely helps women to know Christ in a more deep and personal way, reflect Christ in character and everyday life, and share Christ naturally with family and friends. The purpose of the "HighQuest: Women of Distinction" series is to help women follow Christ in a distinctive, life-changing way. There are six units in this discipleship series: His Works, His Ways, His Image, His Calling, His Heart, and His Commission. (For more information go to www.highquest.info.) Each book in this series uses the format of daily meeting with God in Scripture: reading, listening, reflecting, journaling, praying, and application. His Commission (6): Sharing Christ Naturally addresses the question: "What do I need to know and do to effectively mentor another person in her walk with Christ?" Many women avoid mentoring because they feel so inadequate. His Commission gives us a clear biblical under-standing of the topic of mentoring, what qualities are needed, principles to follow, and specific helps in using the Women of Distinction series as a tool for mentoring.
