My Hindu home is a mix of a few beautiful cultures. I am from a Maharashtrian family, raised in Madhya Pradesh (India), and married into a Tamil family. We celebrate festivals from different cultures. More, the merrier! In our home, we celebrate the Hindu New Year twice: the Marathi and Tamil ways. This inspired me to write a book about the Hindu New Year and the diverse ways to celebrate it!
