As fascinated as I am with Abraham Maslow's and Carl Roger's and George Kelly's theories in psychology, I am convinced that there is no better psychologist than the One who created our psyche in the first place! I hope this book blesses you as much as it has blessed me. It has blessed me so much that I've bought several copies to bless others.

An Amazing Story of Healing

I have read this book so many times, I cannot remember the exact count. The first time I picked it up, I found that I could relate so well to it. Whenever anyone asks me what my favorite book is, this is the book and author I list. I will always have at least one copy on hand, simply because I frequently give copies to people who I feel can benefit from the book. The author describes the journey of a woman that is bound and controlled by the opinions and expectations of others. She lives in a place of tremendous fear and each time she finds herself longing to escape from the grip of fear upon her heart and soul, her family is there to reinforce the fear and keep her tied to it. One day, she decides to take a journey with God and goes through many painful paths on the journey to healing. However, in the end, she does indeed find the healing mercy of Jesus. I recommend this book to everyone that is interested in re-establishing a closer walk with God, or for those that have never known a relationship with God, but long to.
