If you live in California or plan to visit you will find this book interesting and useful. The book is very interesting and enjoyable to read. I "read" in as a book on tape which is another way to read while travelling in a car or at home in those early morning hours when you can't sleep but want to "entertain your mind". Great introduction to California

A state is much more than what you see as you travel through it.I took this book with our family as we drove the length of California. It was great to read human interest stories of each county as we drove through them, and to take detours to see unusual places that we would not otherwise have known about.
