Collected Visions in Words is an anthology of personal prose, poetry, and even one short play, created by the Hillcrest Writers and compiled by Susan Rouillier. The "visions" are observations or ideas or feelings expressed through the magic of language, and range from the serious to the humorous to the hilarious, from historical to imaginary, and from poetic to prose. There is a dying man who is also a philosopher, a woman trying without much success to grow tomatoes, one who sees hope and love in her connection to nature. Another accidently glues a toe to the inside of her shoe; yet another sees joy in becoming a senior citizen. Each of the accounts shows a personal "vision," good or bad, and adds to our understanding or questioning of these mysterious lives we live.
