Short stories based around the real Highway 50, running north-south through Nebraska. Set in recent times, the stories concern people who are able to change and adapt in difficult circumstances, because of a simple four-letter word: hope. Most of the stories take place in or near a truck stop simply called "Judy's Place". Farmers, truck drivers, ranchers, cowboys, families rich and poor, all grace these stories. Some good, some bad, they all pass through and for those who's number has come up, they receive the opportunity to change and become the people they could only dream of. These are people who make no apologies for being positive in a cynical world. They are not perfect and perhaps have made many serious mistakes, but under the direction of faith, hope, and charity their lives change for the better. This book includes three short stories from the "Highway 50 Tales" plus two extra that also concern the themes of 'hope' and 'change'. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
