This was fun to write

I wrote this first as my master's thesis in folklore, with the belief that modern Americans have lore they share like slang, jokes, practical jokes, etc. I found it to be true when I interviewed traders and brokers, and read about them. I turned it into a popular press book after I finished the thesis. It was reviewed favorably in the New York Times Sunday book review and I was interviewed on "All Things Considered." Overall an enjoyable research, writing,, and publishing experience.
