High Seas and Still Waters

These sermons were culled from the hundreds of sermons I preached over a fifteen-year period at the two churches I have most recently served: First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Nebraska, and Farragut Presbyterian Church in Farragut, Tennessee.

Both congregations entrusted me with privilege of leading them in worship each week and allowed me to preach with an overarching emphasis on the power and blessing of God's grace and our opportunity and responsibility to respond with joy and service.

The sermons included here are based on scripture texts from the Revised Common Lectionary and follow the liturgical year, beginning in Advent. It is my hope that they reveal the willingness and eagerness God has to love and care for us, so that the high seas we often face may become still waters.
