Wonderful stories

I bought this book thinking that I would read it some day with my kids. I tried one out on my almost 3 year old, and he has taken to asking for the "god book" every night at bed time. We are Unitarian Universalists, and this book really goes well with our belief that god is not just some man in the sky, or that had contact w/humans many years ago and then stopped. The book talks about how god is everywhere and how we are all connected. The stories are well written and uplifting. I think a child or adult who is not a UU would also enjoy the book, as it does not go against anything their church teaches as far as I know.

Excellent

I borrowed this book from a friend and now I am ordering a copy for myself because it is excellent. My kids and I all loved it. I was using it for bedtime stories, and ended up reading two or three per night because my kids begged for more. The stories are very sweet, and appropriate for even very small children. This book is for families who are bringing up their children to think liberally about religion as the stories are about accepting different views of God. The book can help you teach children that although we do not all believe the same things about God, that doesn't mean some of us are right and others are wrong.

Wonderful stories - great conversation starters

This book has wonderful, insightful, stories that make it easy for children to understand the various concepts of God. They are super starting places for conversations on the topic, and also interestng for the parent! The stories are not negative to any view point, other than showing that many views are valid.
