what a great time killer

These Hidato puzzles are more addicting then Suduko. What a great title and I hope to find more in the future. Once you learn how to do them you can't do just one.

A great new number puzzle

Hidato is a great new number puzzle, and this book contains some very challenging puzzles. Hidato puzzles can be solved by pure logic, which means you don't ever have to guess. But, if you are like me, you will end up guessing sometimes and then will find that some later numbers don't fit, so you must backtrack and see where you went wrong. The puzzle is superb at teaching logic skills as well as patience! I plan on using these puzzles with my middle school math kids, to improve their thinking abilities.

Challenging, solvable fun

Another number puzzle game that is easy to learn, challenging to do, without having to guess. This book starts slow and builds your skill level. By the end, all you want is more genius-level puzzles. For those who sometimes get frustrated with Sudoku or are just looking for a change of pace, this one is lots of fun.

Light-weight Puzzle

This puzzle type is fun to solve. The idea is to complete a grid beginning with "1" and continuing to the last number in numerical order. The only stipulation being that the next number has to be placed in a square that is either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal to the one before and after it. You are given the first, last, and some numbers as clues to filling out the rest of the grid. The more complex the puzzle, the larger the matrix. After getting the hang of it, these take about half the time an equivalent level Sudoku puzzle would take.
