Hezekiah Daly, the "Comanche Killer," had spent his younger days heaping revenge upon the Comanches. After he rescued a young girl, Rebecca, and her brother after the Comanches had killed their parents in a raid, he changed his ways. He learned to love both of them and decided to marry Rebecca.
