A Must Read for Any Tennis Fan

This is a great yarn by one of the great characters in tennis, at a time just before the big money came into the game and turned the players into automatons - great players, but no great personalities. Abe Segal is a larger than life Damon Runyonesque character who tells his story in his own inestimable way, complete with spelling and grammatical errors which just add to the authenticity. He rose from a boy born on the wrong side of the tracks to become an international tennis star and he takes the reader on the amusing and rollicking ride. You will find yourself laughing out loud. I loved the book, warts and all !!
