Definition of Heritage
May imply love for humanity, charity, empathy, and so forth.
In giving or gifting something to someone, it may be something meaningful for a sole person or a collectivity.
A king may give in heritage a castle or an estate of land to his or her subjects, or leave laws of protection for the well-being of the kingdom's citizens. Also, for the love of the community, a theater, stadium, library, or the like may be built that will show extraordinary goodwill for the people. From 1920 to 1933, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, and Calvin Coolidge got a wonderful legislation approved. It was called the prohibition of the sale of alcoholic beverages and the like. Can you imagine such a monumental heritage for humanity? It lasted only thirteen years as the prohibition law was halted in 1933; this dream of living a pleasant life here on earth was gone.
In 1620 the Mayflower introduced alcohol, breweries, and distilleries. From 1620 to 1920, three hundred years of heritage of alcohol which included family violence, deaths, and wounded people forever. From 1933 to 2017, we have inherited eighty-four years of the same stuff.
