Heritage and Solitude

Birthright is your responsibility to make of it what you can. Nobody should take that right from you. Here are two stories about what people do when their birthright is threatened. John Mackay was an ordinary man who had a deep love for his island. He enjoyed his solitude on the island but when outsiders settled at his favourite beach, his heritage became threatened. These visitors were not from anywhere he could figure. They had technology that John had never seen before. Despite their benevolence, he soon found he had the fight of his life if he was to ever save his island from destruction. Meanwhile on a distant planet, Parvil who had inherited a world that was so over populated, it was about to destroy itself. There was no land left to grow food but the population was ever increasing. The Authorities would not listen and he was insignificant. In all this he had one inner desire - solitude. Being on a planet with so many people, being alone was impossible. But with the aid of three friends, a daring plan was hatched.
