As Christmas day 1847 approaches, Scrooge decides to continue his business with Connor Oannes as he has since the unfortunate death of Jacob Marley seven years earlier. However, during a meeting with charity workers he offends both Connor and Calliope who are elites from Cetacea-Belize; an advanced nation in Central America. They decide its time to teach him about Christmas. This Christmas eve, he receives an unsettling visit from a hologram of his former business partner, Jacob Marley. With a solemn warning, Marley foretells the arrival of three spirits who will reveal the truths Scrooge has long ignored. However, these spirits are actually friends of the Oannes, who reveal unsettling truths of their own.
The Incarnations of Christmas Then, Now and Soon guide him through a journey of reflection-unveiling the regrets of his youth, the loneliness that surrounds him now, and the grim fate that awaits if he refuses to change. Through these visions, Scrooge is confronted with the consequences of his life choices, and must make a decision before his time runs out.
