It's Thanksgiving of 1968, and everyone comes to Alex and Trixie's house for dinner. When Trixie gets the guys to all help her with putting together dinner, Tulip gives them all a great surprise. He has found August's diary. They all agree to check out what stories August has written in his diary, believing it will provide great entertainment for them. As they delve into the diary, the former members of The Nuggets all begin reminiscing about their past. Just like their friends The Craynes had done before, they begin sharing their story. With help from August's diary entries, Tulip, Brownie and Trixie explore their past. This relived past is filled with rivalries turned friendships, lots of jealousy and budding teenage romances, and one wild ride of hilarity. The tales that they share beautifully tie everything together, and expose the true bond that keeps all of these friends together. The journey that they experience will surely satisfy the readers and make them fall in love with the 1960s all over again.
