There are stories that authors labor over and edit until the life has been taken from them. This collection of observations, essays and stories is not one of them Here and South of Here capture what I feel is the essence of the human experience, the struggles, disappointments, betrayals, failures and occasional successes which all of us experience at one time or another. Both pieces are imaginary examinations of I feel are some of the life-challenges people in the 1st and 3rd Worlds face. The situations and dialogue depicted in both books is not for the faint of heart and, in some cases, may be considered offensive, but I do not concern myself with hurt feelings; rather, my concern is to honestly depict what my observations and intuitions tell me is the truth of the human condition.
