Now in its third edition, Heraldry in Northern Canada chronicles the incorporation of artwork, culture and traditions of Indigenous groups and Northern Canadians. Never before attempted, this series records the symbolism and references used in Canadian heraldry of armorial bearings granted to Northern Canadians. A pattern quickly emerges of the representation of Northern Canadian culture and life when interpreting these themes. These themes tell a story of the life of Northern Canadians and how this is represented in in the unique artwork of heraldry. The third edition contains more artwork so readers can visually see the artwork as well as expanded sections for a full picture of the beauty that is contained in the heraldic artwork of Northern Canadians. The proceeds of the book go towards a scholarship awarded annually to Northern Canadians that are devoted to making Northern Canada a better place. Applications are now being accepted for the 2023-24 year. I am very impressed with your thorough and remarkable work. This is an important initiative in the advancement of Indigenous rights and reconciliation." -The Honourable Mohamed-Iqbal Ravalia, MP, Member of the Senate of Canada "I would like to congratulate you on the writing of your book on the subject of 'Heraldry in Northern Canada'. I found it to be full of relevant information and very interesting. "Your book is not a quick read. It requires the reader's sustained attention, a keen sense of observation and a constant search for new elements that are presented in each chapter. You introduce, describe and give meaning to the different elements (animals, minerals, flora, mottos, colours, etc.) that are included in the coat of arms, which greatly enriches the reader's experience. You have put in a lot of research and it transpires in your writing. The interconnection between facts are also well presented in your book. "The richness of this book lies in the interaction of elements described and visuals that add to the reading experience. I congratulate you for this excellent work." -The Honourable Lucie Moncion, MP, Member of the Senate of Canada "I enjoyed reading your book and will be pleased to give it a positive review." -John Neill, Editor, The Royal Heraldry Society of Canada
