Based on a true story, this is a memoir written about a young girl when she was in middle school. She is trying her best to live a normal life, but it becomes difficult when the family that adopted her at six years old, began to mistreat her every day. Throughout her life, she goes through physical, sexual, and emotional abuse along with domestic violence, depression, and suicidal thoughts. One day, she approaches a new girl on her school bus. As they grew closer, she gave her the nickname "Sis", short for "sister". The girl on the bus became the closest thing to family that she's ever had. The last time they saw each other was on one of the bus rides a few days before the adoptive mother found out that Sis knew about all of the abuse. "I'm still waiting for you." - Sasha (Sis)
