Her Naga Mate
He is cold-blooded, it is January, and her forge is the warmest room in the city.
Vera Ostrowski shoes horses, insults everyone, and only went to the matchmaker on Cobble Street out of spite - because her ex-husband got remarried in October and had the nerve to look happy about it.
Three questions, one match, no refunds, and thirty days of good-faith courtship before either party may walk away.
The card said Sethis Amaren-Vosk. Fifteen feet of exceptionally polite naga, a violin shop three streets from her forge, and eleven winters of refusing help he cannot survive without.
So the courtship, in practice, is this: a very large serpent coiled beside her fire six days a week, being unbearably courteous, while she bangs on hot metal and pretends she isn't glad he's there.
He has until the thirtieth to get himself somewhere warm. She has until the thirtieth to admit she'd like him to stay.
Neither of them has ever asked anyone for anything.
Fated & Co. has never made a bad match.
HER NAGA MATE is a standalone short monster romance with a guaranteed happily ever after, a hero who says his whole name every time, a heroine who has driven off everyone who ever loved her, and a great deal of fire. Steamy. No cliffhangers. Book 4 of the Monster Match Agency - every book stands alone.
