Her Last First Date

I been looking forward to reading this book and this series of Positively Pregnant. I enjoy the characters and their story they are telling me too.

a good read

I really enjoyed this book. What I liked about it is how the story moved. you ever read a book that gets slow and boring with too much detail about everything that you just skip it? not this one! The character Crissy made me laugh with her sense of humor and attitude towards dating. Even when she regretted sleeping with Josh which of course got her pregnant, she was real and handled the situation great. I don't like when the women are overly dramatic. The story moved well from her wanting to meet her adopted son to falling in love with her adopted son's uncle. He also had issues getting over the death of his wife and then dealing with impregnating Crissy when he couldn't and "didn't" want children with his wife when she was alive.

A SIX stars love story

While reading this book you'll learn about true love. I'm not saying only the love you have for your spouse but for everybody. Love for the family, friends and even unbeknown peers. you'll see friendship since the first page till the last one. That's why I rated this book with Six stars.

Her Last First Date - A Joyfully Recommended Title

Chrissy Phillips had given her son up for adoption. She wanted what was best for him and had picked his family with care. Now years have gone by and after numerous advances from his family to be a part of his life, she's finally ready to get to know her son. It's her son's adoptive uncle who throws her for a loop though. Dr. Josh Daniels has loved and lost in the past. The last thing that he wants is to love another woman. So when a night of careless passion finds Chrissy and Josh as unexpected parents, Chrissy is prepared to be the mother to her new child that she was never able to be to her son. But Josh is torn apart by ghosts of the past. Can he find a way to deal with his past and create the family he desires with Chrissy? Every Susan Mallery book is a treat! Her Last First Date is so rich in emotion that I found myself sniffling and anxiously awaiting Josh and Chrissy's happily ever after. I can't recommend Her Last First Date highly enough for romance readers who are looking for a quick but thoroughly satisfying read! Melissa Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Crissy can't be pregnant again!!

What a wonderful love story! Both our heroine, Crissy, and our hero, Josh, are wounded souls who finally have the chance to create good memories with each other if they take the plunge but "Crissy doesn't do first dates not that she has had any lately--she hates them. Dating is miserable enough without dealing with the whole *get to know* first date." Josh is the uncle of Crissy's birth child. She gave Brandon to the wonderful adoptive parents over 12 years ago. Abbey & Pete have invited her to be part of Brandon's life all these years and finally she decides she wants to meet him but doesn't want him to be aware she's his birth mother. Josh is the person who has been chosen by his sister-in-law, a little matchmaking, to meet Crissy and make sure she won't complicate Brandon's life. Josh lost the love of his life 4 years ago and just can't seem to get back into living. He's a pediatric oncologist which keeps him very busy and "looking for miracles each day!" With the little free time he has he spends it with Pete & Abbey and their children. Crissy has lots of guilty feelings she took the easy way out by giving up her baby and going on with the life she had planned for herself a free ride in college, softball sholarship, and a great job after, she was 17 at the time. Abbey is supermom! so Crissy feels even more out of her element. Crissy and Josh seem to have an attraction to each other but Crissy feels that it's a bad idea to go for it. What happens when they no longer care for each other? After Crissy's first visit with Brandon and family Josh follows her home as she seems a little overwhelmed by seeing Brandon is person. They talk and even argue a little before that things got HOT. Josh couldn't believe he was feeling so good but let Crissy set the rules and she decided seeing him wasn't good *just friends* would be better. Of course she's pregnant and so upset with herself to think she finds herself in this position again but she can keep this baby as she's much older and in a much better place in life. Josh doesn't take the news well and Crissy is even more upset by that. Ms Mallery has given us a warm and cuddly with a little angst love story!
