James ljjo would always say one of his greatest moments in his life was becoming a father when his first child-the one he holds in this picture from over a decade ago-was born. He has since been living the life of a family man with a lovely wife and three adorable children. His writing style is not only inspired by his strong family values but by his personal journey of surviving and thriving in the remotest villages, sophisticated refugee camps and crowded cities of South Sudan, Uganda and Kenya from 1980s to mid-2000s; to studying in the Canadian high school and universities leading to obtaining both bachelor and master's degrees before abandoning the dream of a PhD to reconnect with his past; and serving in Canada for nearly 15 years as a Counsellor along with managing his own small real estate business. He identifies as a forward thinker without compromising his roots, which shows in his thoughtful and eloquent technique of elaborating thrilling stories like gently holding the hands of readers to take them to places he has been and things he has seen or felt.
