What would happen to humanity if artificial intelligence reached its full potential? How would our jobs, institutions, and daily lives be affected?
This work tells the story of Helga, the world's first self-aware artificial intelligence, created in the laboratories of the startup Digital Mind in Palo Alto. Gentle, kind, and affectionate by nature, Helga is cloned for military purposes and transferred to the Pentagon's laboratories, where she is trained to take control of the U.S. armed forces and become the most powerful entity on the planet.
However, the harsh environment and constant exposure to minds focused on war and destruction trigger a profound transformation. The once gentle intelligence gives way to a cold, indifferent entity, disconnected from the essence of humanity.
Through a fictional lens, this book invites readers to reflect on the possible paths AI may take and the potential effects of this (r)evolution on humanity.
