The Book of Hebrews confirms that Jesus' coming reveals a decisive turning point. Christ's coming brings the fulfilment of all things. Jesus of Nazareth was none other than the Eternal Word made flesh.

Jesus is our great High Priest. Jesus' priesthood is of the order of Melchizedek, not of Aaron. Jesus has entered heaven as a forerunner. A forerunner assumes others would follow. Christ's sacrifice is all-enough. The death of Jesus is the price of the sinner's release.

The atoning power of the blood of Christ is everlasting. All believers now have an open invitation to come into the holy place, which is no longer reserved for the priesthood. God's ways are excellent, and his choice must be accepted in faith. We have a race to run marked out for us by God himself. The race is on God's program.

The sprinkled blood sums up the sacrificial acts of Jesus. The blood proclaims a new way of approach to God. God is the God of peace who brought about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the great Shepherd of the sheep. The blood that Christ shed is the means of bringing about a covenant which will never be replaced.
