great book on parenting

This is a very helpful book on parenting. Despite what some reviewers (who probably haven't read the book) have written, this book is not just about spanking. It is about raising respectful, obedient children who love God and love their neighbors.

Great book!!

I think that this is a terrific, encouraging, Christian book!! I cannot believe all of the bad reviews!!! I really enjoy reading this book!! (Even though I am only 11!)Overall, I think that this is a wonderful book!!!! My Mom and I both agree it is one of our favorites!!

Great advice without being overwhelming

It seems like most instructional books for making the home a cozy haven are downright overwhelming or intimidating. This is not the case with Heaven at Home. In it, the author gives practical and encouraging advice for making a Godly home and an inviting home ~ and she does it in a way that makes you feel like you can do it, too. I think that her transparency lets you know that she is human like the rest of us, and that only by God's grace can any of us achieve an earthly dwelling that comforts and soothes the soul. Ginger Plowman doesn't make you think she is looking at you from some high lofty position ... she makes you feel like she buys her Windex and Swiffers on the same isle as any of us. That is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks to Ginger for being one of us and helping us all strive for Heaven at Home!
