Global climate change and rapid urbanization, industrialisation and globalisation has various adverse impacts on our planet Earth. Of these impacts, one of the major one is heat waves. The numbers of heat wave incidents are increasing at an alarming rate throughout the world. In the light of these conditions, this book attempts to explore the incidents of heat waves at India level, Maharashtra state level and at Chandrapur administrative block level. Moreover, the heat wave analysis was carried out for the previous 40 years for number on incidents, casualties for human being and animals from the same. A field study also attempt to shed light on this aspect on children, elderly person and on workers. The preventive measure suggests overcoming the adverse effects of the heat waves.
