Heather and the Hedgehog Rescue
Eleven-year-old Heather Miller would much rather be in her garden at home with her beetles and insects than standing in the spotlight.
When she discovers a tiny, injured hedgehog tangled in plastic in her garden, Heather is determined to save it-no matter what anyone says. But when she learns her favourite hedgehog rescue centre, and the one her late mother used to work at, is about to close, she comes up with a wild, terrifying, completely impossible plan...
She'll enter a talent show.
With her brothers.
In front of a HUGE audience.
There's just one problem: Heather has stage fright so bad her knees wobble and her voice disappears.
As her family band goes from school rehearsals to viral videos, from muddy campsites to bright stage lights, Heather must face her fears, deal with embarrassing brothers, and handle a music manager with big ideas. Winning could save the hedgehog centre she loves. But losing might mean losing her confidence-and maybe even herself.
Can Heather find the courage to sing when it matters most?
And will she choose fame or the quiet magic of the garden?
A heartwarming, funny, and inspiring story about family, friendship, finding your voice, and standing up for what you care about-even when your voice shakes.
