The world has become overrun by a deadly disease that not many have survived. To protect those that haven't contracted it, they are taken to a facility away from others. In this isolated place, the occupants are to live their days by the rules of their appointed Commander and to find a way to adapt to new lifestyles that are not easy to come by.Melinda is a young woman being held at one of these facilities and in one of only 1200 individuals in her age group that are considered healthy. She finds love and new friendships, but her Commander is making her not want to stay much longer. She adapts to the unusual ways. Then Melinda notices that things are changing, but not for the better. Seasons are changing quickly and people are starting to go mad from the constant lockdown. The only way that people would be able to go back to normal lives is if they find Patient Zero, but they are nowhere to be found. How will this new lifestyle suffice for years to come? And will Patient Zero ever be found before the entire world is wiped off by the deadly disease?
