Hello, hell-toed Luna.Hello yellow Sun! Hello mellow helloesSignifying day begun.Hello to "good morning,"Hello to "good night," Hello to the zenith,Sill's silly hill?d light. "Hello," in arrivals, Hello to departures, Hello to the goodbyesIn your eyes that feel like tortures. - "Hails" Part IHeat, Warmth, Hail is the debut work of Lucas Joanis, and a poetry book in three parts. Part I, "Zephyrs," contains down-to-earth, personal, versed poetry, with themes of nature, emotion, and self. Part II, "Revyrie," at first functions as a collection of fantastical, subterranean poetry, but then melds into poetry where fantasy and reality, dream and nightmare, past and present collide. Finally, Part III, "Eschaton," is home to the most twisted poems of this collection, with themes about apocalypse, religion, government, et cetera in the tradition of avant garde, inspired by T. S. Eliot's "The Wasteland." "Eclectic electricity eccentric"I am Lucas Joanis, a Sophomore earning my Literature B.A, on track for a M.A in Library Science, and I have a passion for literature and art. Native to Southern California, now dividing time between my parents' home near Denver, Colorado and my school near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I love spending time reading and writing, of course, but also spending time with my girlfriend and my family when I gets the chance, as well as biking, fishing, surfing, drumming, gaming, and roleplaying, among others. Some of my inspirations are Dostoyevsky, T. S. Eliot, Seamus Heaney, as well as high fantasy, magic realism, existentialism, and mythology. I would love for you to read my debut work: Heat, Warmth, Hail. Entertaining as well as provocative, and certainly varietous, it will be worth your time.Goodbye hellish Sol, Goodbye hell-toed Solset, Goodbye helm?d solsticeWarm?d up our help'd souls, yet. Goodbye to the "goodbye,"Goodbye to the gib, Goodbye to the helloesOf our helter held'ear trip. Goodbye to arrivals, Goodbye to departures:Goodbye to the helloes That I pass that make it harsher.
