My first child was born prematurely at just 3 lbs. Days and nights were spent with him resting on my chest, skin on skin. Sometimes he would relax so much he would set off his alarms. We would have to startle him a little to remember to breathe for himself. It was an emotional time full of hopes, prayers and wishes.

Heart Song was written with my premature newborn laying on my chest.

As he grew healthy and strong I soon realized no matter what age your baby is as a mother your wishes stay the same. I believe the words we speak to our children when they are small can become their inner dialogue for a lifetime.

This is a book for babies and mothers. I hope it will be a gift for expecting friends or a lullaby for your toddler.
