Heart of the Mountain Man Smoke Jensen woke up as he heard something. He took his gun and went outside with his wife, Sally. They found Monte, the sheriff's horse, with blood on it. They went to find Monte, but when they did he was all shot up. Smoke said if he does not live we won't know what happened to him. Next morning they went to Monte's house and something special was gone. Now Smoke has to find out who stole it or else Monte will be mad.
