HE'S So Cold!

As a long-time Stones fanatic, I try to read everything, both good and bad, that is published about them. This book has lots of information that's been printed in every tabloid in the past twenty years (I'm including People magazine in that category). However, read under one cover, the picture that's painted of Mr. Jagger really gives one pause: he emerges as cold, opportunistic, and tighter than a tic when it comes to meeting his financial responsibilites to his many children. His daughter Karis, by the dancer and actress Marsha Hunt, suffers the most. It was a wonder that she not only had him at her recent wedding, but actually treated him like a father and had him escort her down the aisle. He denied his paternity for years, and when the proof proved otherwise, paid a minimal amount for her support and did so under great protest.More importantly, he refused to be a part of her life for many years. The impact of this sad but interesting book is significant;after reading it, I still love his music, but I don't think much of him as a person.
