Hearing God

By: Mokuolu, Olusegun

Does God still speak today? If He does, how can you recognise His voice without confusing it with your own thoughts, desires, fears, dreams or the claims of others?

Many sincere believers long to know what God would say to them about various issues in their lives, yet the search has left some anxious, either dependent on preachers or vulnerable to deception. They chase prophecies, audible voices, dreams, and supernatural experiences, while overlooking the sure foundation God has already given through Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

HEARING GOD brings clarity to one of the most misunderstood aspects of the Christian life. Drawing on direct biblical teaching and abundant Scripture, the author explains how God speaks today, how to discern His will, why some believers struggle to hear Him, and how to test impressions, prophecies, dreams and visions. He also challenges the dangerous belief that hearing an audible voice proves spiritual superiority, and shows that obedience to Christ is the clearest evidence that we have truly heard God.

This book will help you escape the pressure to imitate others' spiritual experiences. It will teach you to recognise the authority of Scripture, depend on the Holy Spirit, make wise decisions, and reject every voice that contradicts the character and teaching of Christ.

You do not need to live in fear, confusion, or dependence on another person to hear God for yourself. God has not left His children without light. Open these pages to discover how to hear God with discernment, follow Him with confidence, and become more like the One you hear.
