Healing Circles and Meditations: The Power of Prayer

I first began meditating when I was just a young child, while doing Yoga with my Mom then on my own as I grew into my teens. I remember spending my nights just waiting to fall asleep so I could meditate and leave my body to go check on everybody I loved to make sure they were good. As I became more independent and stronger in my meditations I was blessed to have crossed paths with an Elder, a very important Elder, one who saved my life. Over the years I had become ill with a variety of different illnesses and was even informed that I had been cursed and only an Elder could release the curse placed on me. I was still quit young and didn't comprehend what I was being told. Once attending a Native American Sundance some ten plus years later. I was privileged to have met Sam, at which time my entire out look on life changed.Sam was the Elder who was holding the Sundance and took the time to speak with me, a white woman who had no idea what a Sundance was, other than it was supposed to help heal me as I fight to stay alive. We spoke that first night and I learned many things of what a Sundance was and how I would benefit and that was just what I needed. The Elder referred to himself as Sam Owl and we had a major connection, one I didn't realize until four days later when the person I was with told me that the Elder and I had not spoke out loud that first day. Rather the only thing anybody other than myself heard was when he stood and put his hand on my shoulder telling me we would talk later. Hence, our entire previous conversation had been through our minds. Amazing I cherish that to present times It was Sam who showed me how to do healing circles through his wisdom shared with me that first day and the sweat lodge he did to break that curse I had once been told of. I was now free to live my life with more strength and spiritual connection. For this I thank you again Sam Please enjoy living your life and have fun trying my meditations and healing circles.
