Not your normal Christian fiction

This is the first time I've read a Christian fiction with a fantasy feel to it. I thought that this book was incredibly well written. The depth of research is obvious, the multi-level plots show detail analysis and a great process of writing. From the beginning, you hear the heart of the heroine's heart, and desire to see her life mission fulfilled - and her heart's desire met. Remember that desire to be a warrior princess? Healer allows us to walk in that world for just a few minutes and enjoy the world when King Arthur ruled. What a joy!

At last, another historical from Linda Windsor!

This is the story I've been waiting to read by Linda Windsor, ever since discovering her Fires of Gleannmara series! Her writing is deeper, richer, smoother than ever before, and I found myself completely captivated by this story. Despite my weariness with seemingly endless versions of the Arthurian legend, Windsor puts a unique and scholarly spin on this tale, tying it in with ancient Biblical history and prophecies. I could hardly put this book down, once I was able to start, and I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series.

Amazing book

This book by Linda Windsor absolutely pulled me into another world and kept me captivated. I love a good speculative fiction book and this one is great. Fact blends with fiction to create this magical place where there really isn't any magic, just amazing characters with tight scenarios and beautiful settings. The immersion of two different worlds, two at war clans and forgiveness that transcends human nature. This beautiful book has it all!

Best Historical I've ever read!

I absolutely love Linda Windsor's tale of the HEALER set in early Scotland. In connecting the healer's story to King Arthur and his contemporaries, Windsor takes great care in keeping it true to her extensive research. And presenting it from a Christian's point of view makes the whole Arthur/Merlin story much clearer. I recommend it to all my family and friends. My granddaughter is reading it now. With the onslaught of movies that glorify werewolves and witchcraft, this is a beacon in the darkness revealing what's really real. Three cheers to David C. Cook for making Linda's expert writing available. And three cheers to the author of Book 1 in the Brides of Alba series. I can't wait to read her next two books! MOVIE MAKERS, here's your next blockbuster hit series!

Beautifully crafted tale of the time of King Arthur
