Twenty-two years ago, my husband rushed with me to the hospital when I was about to give birth. As soon as we arrived, the nurses prepared me for childbirth. I remember the nurses were around me and the doctor was checking my cervical dilation from time to time to determine the time of birth. It was an agonizing moment because I needed to have at least 10 centimeters dilation to be able to have an all-natural birth. I had been suffering excruciating pains for twenty-three hours, without any immediate result. After so much waiting, the doctor had to perform a cesarean section. I laid in bed worn-out, but very happy to have our first daughter Rachel. The wound of the cesarean section was deep and very painful and required a period of recovery. Doctors after a surgery always recommend plenty of rest and sound nutrition for the recovery to be successful. I remember that my mother Celeste said: "Daughter, you need to rest. Be careful not to tear any stitches because then it will become worse. The doctors will have to stitch you again, and the wound can get infected." This warning terrified me. However, I chose to submit and not disobey because I did not want to face the consequences of going through another surgery again. Over the years, I recovered completely. If I were to apply pressure to the area of the surgery I would not feel any pain, nor would pus come out or get infected because the wound is totally healed. I am sharing this story to show you that if our physical body requires time, resources, dedication, care, understanding, and willingness to heal, all the more the healing of the soul Your soul is vital because everything in your life: happiness, your accomplishments, dreams, the challenges you are willing to accept, and the victories that you conquer will depend entirely on the state of your soul. To have a soul wounded and in conflict, will result in grave consequences: bitterness, depression, strife, and arguments. Just as one suffers from physical wounds, it also happens with the soul. It is necessary to heal the soul so that from it comes forth peace, joy, and happiness. The purpose of God is that you live a joyful and abundant life, free of complexes and triumphant. If you can free yourself of scars and wounds from the past and allow the Holy Spirit to heal, deliver and restore you, you will become a great blessing to those around you and your future generations. At this time, I would like to urge you to take the step to invite Jesus to heal your wounds. You will be the happiest person on the planet earth because, in Christ, we are more than conquerors.
