I didn't write this to impress you. I wrote it to reach you.
Healed Anyway is the story of my unspoken words-letters I never sent, prayers I whispered through tears, and truths I had to live before I could write. This collection is rooted in my journey as a Black woman learning to forgive, to survive, and to find faith even when everything around me said I shouldn't.
These poems come from silence and struggle. They carry healing, yes-but not the polished kind. The kind that's messy and slow. The kind that starts when you're tired, but you show up anyway. I wrote these pages to speak to the ones who feel unseen, unheard, misunderstood. If that's you, you're not alone. You've never been alone.
I offer you these words not as a solution, but as a seed. Let them meet you in your broken places. Let them remind you that healing is still holy. And that even if no one ever says it-you are still worthy. You are still whole. And you are being healed anyway.
