Headshot is a gut-wrenching, sometimes painful, look at one helicopter pilot's way of coping with his PTSD after his Vietnam experience. Everyone has flashbacks to previous events in their lives, but we watch as the flashbacks to events in Vietnam begin to consume the aging pilot during the conduct of this day's mission. A strange and ethereal woman enters his flashbacks...his "daydreams"...as he fights to maintain control of his helicopter, his mission and his unraveling psyche. He contends with her strong presence in these encounters. The ending offers a gratifying response to the trials of on day in the life of Al, the former Vietnam helicopter pilot, who must remain rational and calm in order to complete the day's eventful mission.
