Michael Groetsch's book, He Promised He'd Stop, helped save my life and my mind. As a probation officer he has a great deal of experience. He makes the situations and risks very direct and very plain. The book is divided into types of battterers: remorseful, sporadic, and serial. He provides dangerousness accessment tools, personal examples, warnings, and probabilities of offences and re-offences. Absolutely a necessity for women in or coming out of domestic abuse or violence.
