Hazle Buck Ewing: Promoter of Peace on Earth and Good Will toward Men

If troubled Hazle as a child that the history of the world seemed to be almost entirely about war. As an adult, she founded the School of Nations at Principia College, In Elsah, Illinois, desiring to provide the kind of education that would prepare students for careers relating to the promotion of world peace. In addition, Hazle participated in the suffrage movement, maintained an interest in politics, helped establish a boys' home, and traveled around the world. She promoted and practiced conservation. She also gave generously to a variety of other worthy causes.
