Babylon 5 was my favorite show of the 1990s. And Jerry Doyle as Chief Garibaldi was one of my favorite characters. Now Jerry has done something even more heroic than the things Garibadli used to do. After the show was cancelled, Jerry came out of the closet as a Conservative Republican in that liberal cesspool known as Hollywood. (Even more shocking was the fact that I heard there were actually 2 more Republicans in the cast of B5, someone alert the thought police.) After an attempt to run for Congress as a Republican, Jerry was blackballed in Hollywood. He has since become a very successful Conservative talk-radio personality. Anyway this terrific book is a plea to fight back against the corruption of Washington and the attempt of the current regime in power in the White House and Congress to control every aspect of our lives. Jerry worked on Wall Street for 10 years. Thus much of the early part of this book concerns the economic disaster the Obama administration is sending us to. (The part where Jerry decribes Obama's take-over of General Motors and Chrysler will make your blood boil, it did mine.) Later on Jerry describes the hard-left radicals from the 1960s, who play such a prominent part in this current administration. This was my least favorite part of the book since I remember that period very well. It was depressing to relive it again. Jerry later delves into the Washington swamp and those creatures who thrive there: Reid, Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Hillary Clinton, etc. This chapter is similar to other books I've read. However one never tires of reading of the ignorance and corruption of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their ilk. He ends the book by talking about today's heroes and a call to action to all Americans to take their country back. This book is well-documented, well-written, amusing at times and very important. I highly recommend it. Chief Garibaldi, who would have thought you had it in you?
Excellent book to get your brain working again

Doyle tells you what others won't and he tells it like others won't. A great piece of reference material for the lack of character and intelligence some of our representatives have and how greed and self interest really drive the decisions made in this country. This is the kind of book that really drives home the fact that the public is distracted by all the bells and whistles, uninformed, and being led to slaughter by the people they choose to lead them. The only person who has put more clearly the current state of the union is George Carlin in his piece titled "The owners of this country" which is part of a show he did where he really wasn't funny but bitter and disappointed. Jerry Doyle is definitely disappointed with the way things are. I am too. Read the book. Think. Do something.
Great read with excellent research and useful information

I am a frequent listener to the Jerry Doyle Show, so I was a bit nervous reading his new book. I was afraid I would be disappointed. However, what I found was a great read. His research was excellent, and detailed. My favorite chapters were Financial Incest and Drain the Political Swamp. It does make you think "What happened to our Constitution?" Doyle has a unique writing style; informative, witty, and concise. This book is thought provoking, however, I'm afraid if we drain the swamp--vote the cockroaches out, what will we get? More cockroaches, slugs? Voter fraud, mail in ballots, military ballots, the census......I just don't trust it. I learned so much from this book and I think it is an important read for the current political and cultural climate.
A must read for anyone who cares about the direction of America

What makes Jerry Doyle stand out from most of the other conservative talk show host's, is that, he's not a bucket carrier for the Republican Party. Have You Seen My Country Lately? exposes the corruptions and misdeeds of both parties whether its "Crapitalism" under George Bush or "Economic fascism" under Obama and the current Congress, Jerry shines a light on all of the cockroaches in Washington. This book is not merely a list of the wrongdoings of the idiots we send to Washington, but a call to action. I highly recommend Have You Seen My Country Lately? , I couldn't put the book down. I plan on buying 3 more copies to send to my friends.
